HR Issues
for business
Do you find yourself asking.....
- What sort of people do I need?
- How do I comply with all the
regulations?
- Where do I get the sort of people
I need?
- How do I write a decent job
ad?
- How do I go about advertising
for or finding good staff?
- What's this "on-line"
recruitment all about?
- How do I run a good job interview?
- How do I work out the training
or development my people need?
- Who offers the training my people
need?
- How safe is my workplace?
- What more can I do to keep the
staff safe and protect myself?
- What sort of performance appraisal
process should we have?
- Does my business need an incentive
bonus plan for the staff?
- If I buy another business, what
are the people issues to deal with?
- Are there ways I could improve
communication with the staff?
- What sort of image do we have
as an employer? How can we make it even better?
- What is this "company culture"
I've heard about, and how do we build one here?
- Should I have a staff handbook?
- What human resources policies
and procedures should we have in place?
Your external human resource
professional...
Graham Nisbet has over 20 years
as an HR professional. He will help you with the day to day dramas
of running your staff. He will work with you and your senior team
to develop your people priorities, advise on issues and be available
to talk things through at any time.
What does it cost?
The initial
human resource audit costs $2000-5000 and then there is a
monthly retainer, calculated at $23/staff member. Depending on
the size of the business, the retained amount allows for a certain
number of days time each month to deal with people issues.Excess
hours over the retained allocation are billed at the end of the
month.
How does it work?
We provide a report from the
initial HR audit with suggestions on the human resources priorities
for the business. You decide on the priorities of how time is
allocated. It can be spent on day to day operational human resource
items, or used on more developmental projects. You can call your
HR consultant 8am-6pm, 5 days a week. And we undertake to either
provide assistance over the phone or to visit your business within
a few days and help you sort out whatever people related business
concerns you may have.
The agreement is on a three month
rolling basis. The arrangement is for three months and can then
be terminated by three months notice on either side. Initial
audit costs are due on confirmation of the arrangement and invoices
are then provided monthly in arrears including an itemised account
of how the retainer allowance and any additional time was used.
